OREY Volunteers Needed for Spring Clean-Up Day at Harlem River Park on Saturday May 10th

Spend your day volunteering with students and young adults cleaning up Harlem River Park to prepare for the warm weather!

Organization Reaching for the Empowerment of Youth (OREY) is looking for young volunteers to help at a Spring Clean Up Day at Harlem River Park on Saturday, May 10th from 9 am to 12 pm.  Harlem River Park is still working to recover from the damage left by Hurricane Sandy, which resulted in parts of the park being completely underwater.  OREY volunteers will work in partnership with New Yorkers for Parks (www.ny4p.org) to help prepare the park for the warm weather by picking up trash, painting fences and weeding flower beds.  Supplies, water and snacks will be provided.

This volunteer opportunity is made possible thanks to a grant from Repair the World.

For more details and to register for OREY’s May 10th Spring Clean Up Day, please email OREYorg@gmail.com.
